The Slow Cyclist in Romania
Largely shielded from the outside world by Ceaucescu’s brutal regime during the mid 20th century, Romania has since emerged as one of Europe’s most captivating countries for adventurous, thoughtful travellers. It is a cycling and walking paradise.
From the Danube Delta to the painted monasteries of Bucovina there is much to experience, but it is in the bucolic Saxon villages of southern Transylvania that we at The Slow Cyclist have become a leader in slow, sustainable travel.
