The Slow Cyclist in Greece

In many ways, Greece is the perfect slow travel destination to explore by bike and on foot. An ancient way of life has been preserved from the hamlets perched in the northern mountains of the mainland, down to the remote islands scattered across the Mediterranean and Aegean: a life both rugged and simple, dictated by the seasons.

From the enchanting villages of Zagori, to the Peloponnese and the dramatic Mani peninsula where the annual Kardamyli Festival is held, or Crete’s remarkable ancient civilisation, there is much to explore.
