The Slow Cyclist in Turkey

The Slow Cyclist in Turkey

Whereas Turkey's Mediterranean coastline sees millions of tourists each year, its varied, culturally rich and often stunningly beautiful interior is far less known. For those seeking a few days of distance from modernity and a genuine connection to people and place, the Taurus Mountains, stretching most of the way across southern Turkey, are ideal.

On our cycling and walking journey you will cross the Anatolian plateau, a deserted landscape punctuated only with remote mountain villages, and the distant camps of Yoruk nomads. You will visit ancient lost cities and sites culminating in a visit to Aspendos, the world’s best preserved ancient theatre.
