Known for its vibrant cities and rich history, Poland's charming countryside can often be overlooked. But not by Slow Cyclists. There are many draws to cycling and walking in Poland, from the opportunity to seek out medieval palaces and castles to riding rugged mountains and eating hearty food, cooked with the freshest local ingredients.
But while much of Poland is so appealing, it is Lower Silesia that truly captured our hearts. A melting pot of cultures with strong German, Prussian, Czech, Austrian and Slavic influences, dripping with beautiful architecture and an endless array of cycling, it is a true slow travel gem tucked right in the heart of Europe.
