Dine at Asador Etxebarri

In the lush foothills of the Spanish Basque Country, just a short walk from the charming small hotel of Mendi Goikoa Bekoa in which we stay with Slow Cyclists, is a world renowned restaurant.

In 2021, Asador Etxebarri was named as the world’s third best restaurant, behind Noma and Geranium, both in Copenhagen. It’s founder and chef, Victor Arguinzoniz, is famous for being able to grill virtually anything and for enticing amazing flavours from simple ingredients. Even the desserts have a hint of smoke.

To dine at Asador Etxebarri is quite an experience. And if you cycle with us in the Spanish Basque Country as part of a private group we would be very happy to arrange it for you.

If you’ve been inspired to come cycling in the Basque Country with us, find out more about our journeys to Spain or enquire now.

Before you go… sign up to The Slow Journal to receive 5 minutes of inspiration every other week.
